Portishead 3I first heard of the release of this album in the Observer Music Magazine whilst staying in a hotel in Bournemouth for my mother-in-laws 80′th birthday celebrations and the news was one of the highlights of the trip. Several weeks later I heard a track on the Jools Holland TV show and I became excited all over again, my first impressions where ‘Now thats brave’ and I instantly admired them for standing on the same vain but with an altogether more evolved sound.

I've loved talking about music for a very long time but rarely share the same tastes and enthusiasm as the people around me, so to save suffering rolled eyeballs and to get things off my chest I am going to write my thoughts on what I hear in my own rambling free flow and some will no doubt say poorly executed writing style but I care not a jot.

I hope you enjoy what you read, if you don't then run along and do something else. I would love to hear comment to see if you agree or disagree, if you want to point out errors in my writing then I suggest you pleasure yourself in private as I don't wish to be party to it.
